Alzheimer’s Memory Walk – Virtual Event
- During World Alzheimer’s month on Sunday, September 20th we are asking you to join us for our first virtual Alzheimer’s Memory Walk event. This September was due to be our first Alzheimer’s Memory Walk with events taking place across Ireland. But, in line with government restrictions and Covid19 precautions, we’ve launched our 2020 campaign as virtual walk event! Going virtual will provide a wonderful for opportunity for everyone to ‘Walk Together’, while staying apart, to help raise much needed funds for people living with dementia in their communities all across Ireland. There are over 500,000 families affected by dementia in Ireland and we wanted to hold an event that was accessible to everyone, from granny and grandchildren to our four legged friends. - The Season of Creation In keeping with the spirit of his letter Laudato Si, on the care of the earth, Pope Francis established September 1st as an annual World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation.
